According to the Quebec College of Physicians, before-and-after photographs constitute testimonies of endorsement, and therefore are in violation of article 2.02.07 of the physician's code of ethics.
2.02.07 A physician may convey actual, exact and verifiable information through any public medium, provided that the information.
- contains no comparative or superlative statement regarding the quality of the products, professionals or services referred to in the information and
- contains no expression of support or gratitude concerning that physician or his/her professional practice.
